Crafts Equals Decor for my Kitchen!

Before I babble on about my crafts lol, I wanted to share a "craft" my hubby did at work for me :)...

He made me a heart out of metal. Aw.
Love him!

So We re-did our kitchen so I've been making decor for it.
Here are a few things I've done so far...

Then Tristen decieded that she need to set her sippies on it lol. Love my silly girl!....

Painted tray black then mod podged damask scrapbook paper in the tray.

Key Holder (Idea came from Sew Much Ado, thank you ). Painted wood black then mod modged the damask scrapbook paper onto he top & screwed in the hooks..tada! so cute! (Now maybe my hubby will use it and not ask me where his keys are all the time lol)

That is it for now. I plan on doing a decor box, fabric art for walls, & curtains :).

Oh yes, look at this darling fabric I found at jo ann's tonight for $1.50 a yard. It's perfect to make my little girl a dress out of it :).

Thanks for looking! :)

Picture frame w/saying Tutorial!

Snow Day equals Craft day!
It was snowing when i got up this morning & it's still going strong. The snow is pretty but that's about it. lol
Anyway...
I made this picture frame with the saying
"Keep Calm and Carry On"

out of an unfinished wood frame from hobby lobby.
Here is the tutorial!

Supplies:
My cricut (which I love)
Black & white paper
Glue stick
Unfinished wood frame (hobby lobby)
Paint
Fabric
Felt
Scissors
Mod Podge

Oh & of coarse this! For sure with a sleeping baby. lol

1. Paint your frame with a color that you like. (I used the left over paint from our kitchen since it's going in there)
2. I cut the little black design with my cricut from some black paper but you can put anything oh there.
3. Use your glue stick & glue the design on the wood Then Mod Podge over the whole frame.

4. Cut your paper for the background to fit in your frame. Then put your saying on the paper & mod podge over it.
5. Make fabric pom pom flowers and hot glue them onto your frame. (I used a 2" flower & a 1.5" one)

6. Put your saying in the frame & you are done!
Enjoy! :)
